With Teen Wolf taking up a decent amount of my time, I didn’t want you to think that I wasn’t keeping up with my goal of reading at least a book a week! I went to the library the other day and picked up three novels, but I’m not really feeling them. I picked up The Diviners by Libba Bray, Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard, and Scintillate by Tracy Clark. I may just return them. I was really excited about the Diviners by Libba Bray because literally, every book blogger has been talking about it, and the rest of the series, but it really hasn’t captured me yet. I’m going to give it a few more chapters before I chuck it back to the return bin.
I’ve been reading digitally a lot more than a physical copy which kind of surprises me because I’m pretty stubborn. There is no denying how easy and convenient ebooks are, you can download multiple ones at a time from your local library and it’s with you everywhere. With me being able to complete novels in a work shift, It is really nice to not have to carry more than one book with me at a time.
In my digital copies, I’m reading Killer Pizza by Greg Taylor, If We Were Villains by M. L. Rio, and Fever by Christine Feehan which was recommended by a college friend who knows I love reading erotica, or as Boy Wonder calls it *Lady Porn*. Fever definitely doesn’t disappoint. It’s the first in a series about leopard shapeshifters, and she definitely doesn’t leave any of the erotic to the imagination. Which I love!
I found a more recent series for Nancy Drew. The All New Girl Detective, which came out in 2004, it took a little getting used to but I was so excited about having an updated Nancy and the gang, that it didn’t take me long to shake the very recent slang used. I wound up running out of time to read it so I have to re-borrow it from the Library. It’s Number Four in the series: High Risk and Nancy follows Ned on some private flying lessons from his father's friend and tries to help a librarian from losing her ancestor’s land.
