Novels #30: January TBR

Hey Gang!

I’ve made a decision. I’m going to blog a lot more about the novels that I read. I’ve been watching booktube for the last two years and I’ve fallen in love. SO I thought I would start telling you about what I actually plan on reading for the month, and then doing video wrap ups as well! Below is a list of everything that I plan on reading, or need to read before they’re taken back to the library. It will be interesting to see how much I actually make it through. Italicized are E-books.

  • Attack of the Ninja Frogs by Ursula Vernon (Dragonbreath #2)

  • Curse of the Were-Wiener by Ursula Vernon (Dragonbreath #3)

  • Lair of the Bat Monster by Ursula Vernon (Dragonbreath #4)

  • No Such Things as Ghosts by Ursula Vernon (Dragonbreath #5)

  • The Case of the Toxic Mutants by Ursula Vernon (Dragonbreath #6)

  • When Fairies Go Bad by Ursula Vernon (Dragonbreath #7)

  • Nightmare of the Iguana by Ursula Vernon (Dragonbreath #8)

  • Knight-Napped by Ursula Vernon (Dragonbreath #9)

  • The Frozen Menace by Ursula Vernon (Dragonbreath #10)

  • Revenge of Horned Bunnies by Ursula Vernon (Dragonbreath #11)

  • Double Crossing by Carolyn Keene (Nancy Drew and The Hardy Boys Super Mystery #1)

  • Blindsighted by Karin Slaughter

  • Tea Dragon Society by Katie O’ Neill

  • The Prince and The Dressmaker by Jen Wang

  • Compass South by Hope Larson (Four Points Series, Book 1)

  • Hamster and Cheese by Colleen A. F. Venable (Guinea PIG, Private Eye 1)

  • Carry On by Rainbow Rowell (Audio)

  • Club Dread by Carolyn Keene (Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys Super Mystery #3)

  • The Lying Woods by Ashley Elston (Audio)

  • Sheets by Brenna Thummler.

I generally don’t think about what I’m going to read during the months because I get bored and switch books and then the lists don’t match. It’s probably the biggest reason why I haven’t joined Booktube. I’ve decided that I want to try a bunch of different things in 2019 and telling you about what I’ve been reading is definitely one of them.

I read the very first Dragonbreath as my last novel of 2018, and I FELL IN LOVE. I didn’t think I could love a novel series as much as I love Bunnicula. Meet Danny Dragonbreath, a child Dragon, who attends a school for amphibians and Reptiles. He’s the only Dragon in his school. His best friend, Wendell, is an iguana and he’s the logical voice in this novel series. I can’t wait to tell you more about it. I’m hoping to finish the series this month!

I’ve heard so many good things about Carry On, and I know that the sequel is coming out sometime this year, so I put it on my list so I can be prepared. I’ve been wanting to read Tea Dragons Society since I interviewed Katie about it three years ago!

What are you reading this month?? Let’s talk about it on Twitter!
